B-17 shot down by German fighter

Hi from Sicily!

On April 30, 1944 a B-17 was shot down by a fighter in the area between Bologna and Ferrara, Italy.
Can anybody confirm that the B-17 was shot down by a German fighter?
If yes, have you more info? Unit of the fighter, exact location?

Possibly Obrlt. Erich Thomas 2/jg53 claimed a B-17 NNE of Balogna that day 2 others claimed but that one possibly fits between Bologna and Ferrara.
