Hi Philip,

Original designation: Canon de 75 mm modèle 1928 contre aeronefs sur remorque Schneider Modèle 1917/1934
Calibre: 75 mm
Length of piece in action : 5100 mm
Weight complete: 4 800 kg
Weight in action: 4 800 kg
Traverse: 360 degrees
Elevation: 0 degrees to + 63 degrees
Muzzle velocity: 700 m/sec
explosive shell weight: 6 kg
Maximum ceiling: 12 000 m

1928 is the year model for the gun
1917 is the year model for the carriage
1934 is the year model for the "Poste De Tir" or "firing post" if i translate correctly?
i have found the model shell 1928 and the explosive model shell 1930

The model is equiped with a sighting telescope L 706 enlargement x6 wich permises ground firing and espiecially aigainst tanks.

30.04.1940 : 127 are available

all is quoted from
"France 1940"- ETAI 1998 ISBN 2-7268-8380-X in french of course!

The French book "Atlantikwall" printed by heimdal has some interesting photos of french 75mm AA guns being used to defend gun batteries and installations of the Atlantic wall. The text is all in french though!
