My favorite is the Fokker Dr.I Triplane that the Red Baron himself made fameous. While he spent most of his time in the Albatross D.V.II and D.V. II, the time spent then wasn't as historically meaningful. Plus, he didn't win the Iron cross in a clumsy old Albatross D.V. , now did he?

wow, so many to choose from
my favorite all around plane, the Stuka for ground attack
the one I'd rather be in, in a dog fight, bf 109
the one I'd rather fly for observation, and just plain fun-fokker triplane
get from a to b in a hurry, me 262

My number one choice would have to be the Ju-87 Stuka, but the tank buster varient with 37mm cannon. As for secondary, consider FW 190 D-9. Plane had no equal in the air. She was a tough fighter and ground support.
God Save Texas!!!
If you want to see what a group of pissed off Texans can acomplish, look no further than the Alamo and to San Jacinto.

UHU
What ! No votes for the "UHU" !!!!! Not only does it look a classy plane, but it was one of the few to put the Fear of God up Mosquito night fighter crews ! For a while I worked as business manager to Group Captain John "Catseyes" Cunningham, who was a brilliant Mosquito night fighter pilot ( he even racked up a few FW-190's in his kills ). He told me that the only time he ever started to really worry about going into combat was when he started reading combat reports and analyses of Mossie v UHU intercepts.
