Freikorps history

Post by Eric Hillebrand » Thu Oct 27, 2005 6:32 pm

Hi everyone!
I just discovered the forum tonight. I am very excited because I am very interested in Freikorps and Kampfzeit history, but there is not a heck of a lot published.
Do you know of any good (or even not so good) titles on the Freikorps in English? I think I have most of the classics-Vanguard of naziism, Hitler's Heralds, The outlaws by von Salomon, and the English version of History of the German army after the armistice(vol. 1). Also the uniform books by Osprey and Schiffer. This seems like a lot of books, but they leave a lot of info out. Any leads? I am interested in personalities, units and campaigns. Any heads up or correspondence would be appreciated.

Michael,
Thanks for the web address. I can roughlly make out German, but I don't think I would tackle a whole book!

Eric,

Unfortunately there isn't that much on the Freikorps in English, but this thread listing titles on the Freikorps might be of interest: http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=56903

You may also find the Freikorps section on my site useful.
