I can't figure out your date format, but his POW chronology looks something like this:

23 May 1945: Doenitz and his gov't taken into custody as POWs and initially held at police headquarters in Flensburg and later transferred to Bad Mondorf (Luxembourg).

12 August 1945: Transferred from Bad Mondorf to Nuremburg.

1 October 1946: Sentenced and transferred to Spandau prison.

1 October 1956: Released.

I don't know how much time elapsed between the arrest and his arrival at Bad Mondorf.

Thanks but I'm after his WW1 POW camp(s) following the sinking of UC68 off Libya on 4 Oct 1918 not 1917 as I put on the first posting.Pete

After the Great War, he was held at Lodge Moor hospital outside Sheffield.

This bio appeared just a couple weeks ago on the BBC website, it's found under "claim to fame".

When I was single, I had three theories on raising children. Now I have three children and no theories.
