Re: New Barbarossa Book
Hi Klaus,
I want to say that I had Frank Ellis's book on Stalingrad and it was very well written. His Stalingrad book is a very refreshing study on the Battle of Stalingrad despite numerous books on it (Erickson, Beavor, Gates etc.) Ellis mentioned about the myth of Operation Lowe (breakout from Stalingrad but there was indeed a survivor who escaped from Soviet POW camp) the airbridge, the first Soviet war crimes trial against Stalingrad POWs as well even less known facts about the NKVD/Red Army had to flush out the remaining German survivors who did not surrender in February 1943
I will get this one as well.
