Hi all,
I have always bought from Landmark which recently closed business. I then went looking for WorldWarTwoBooks.com which had a nice website. Can't find them anymore either...
So for your expensive/rare Wehrmacht books where do you guys go?
As many options as possible are welcomed.
Thanks!
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the information regarding Landmark Books closing.
I have also searched for WorldWarTwoBooks.com and they seem to have gone too.
Helion books is worth ago-
http://www.helion.co.uk/
I buy most of my books via e-bay and Amazon as you normally get good discounts on new books and used books too.
Regards,
Ron

Re: Where do you buy your books?
Servus,
I buy virtually all my books on amazon, either .com or .de. The German site is a great place to find unit histories.
As much as I like browsing booksotres, I only go there any more to scope out I book before buying it on amazon.
Regards,
Helmut

I buy the expensive ones from this e-bay store in USA had some good deals even after adding the p&p to the total price if you buy a few together .http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/aberdeentp
Or http://www.abebooks.co.uk/search/kn/History+Military
which brings the cheapist up first.

I like Aberdeen. Spanish goverment wants to fix the crisis with the money which i have to pay in Customs!! It's a pitty. Nowadays it is difficult buying books in the USA from Spain. The only one that avoids customs is amazon.com. I don't know how do they make it.leib1 wrote:I buy the expensive ones from this e-bay store in USA had some good deals even after adding the p&p to the total price if you buy a few together .http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/aberdeentp

Some years ago i used to buy books to one Ebay's seller , who, as far as I know, no longer sells: LARRYBOOKS. He was the cheapest.

Amazon is the cheapest especially when it comes to postage, some sellers charge almost as much as the book for postage which puts the book out of reach once you convert the currency exchange.
With regards to Larrys Books, yes I too bought from him, he went under a few years back and took my money on books I had preordered with him, never saw the money again despite numerous e mails.(as did a large number of other people judging from the negative feedback I read on his e bay site prior to it closing)
Left a bitter taste in my mouth as he had been excellent to deal with up till then.
