Henrik Schulze '19 Tage Krieg'

Post by Jan-Hendrik »

I ordered the new Volume on the Division 'Friedrich Ludwig Jahn' directly at the publisher:

19 Tage Krieg
Die RAD-Infanteriedivision "Friedrich Ludwig Jahn" in der Lücke zwischen 9. und 12. Armee - Die Mark Brandenburg im Frühjahr 1945

http://www.meissler.de/19_tage_krieg.html

The Author, Henrik Schulze, is a local historian with the focus on the history on the Garnison Jüterborg. He collected for many years archival documents, local histories and first hand accounts on the bitter days in April/May 1945.

So he is able to present the most comprehensive report of the last battles of the 'Armee Wenck', with many documents, and many first hand accounts. It is the kind of book you take in your hands, start to read and won't lay it down...only by force

Of its 609 pages 2/3 cover the history of the Division and 12.Armee, 1/3 are first hand accounts of survivors.

In my Opinion one of the best Endkampf books of this millenium
