Re: Show Us Your Library
Thank you Richard. The JG 77 books were the first ones that I bought. I truly enjoyed the detail of Prien's research that I continued buying the others as they were published. So my cost has been spread out over many years. I had missed the original German version of JG 53 and by then the english version was in print so I purchased it instead. Thanks for your interest.

Re: Show Us Your Library
Since nobody has posted any more photos of their library lately, I thought that I would post some photos from the military part of my library which is shown below. My oldest military book was published in 1898 about the Spanish-American War. My great grandmother gave that book to me back in 1958 when I was only 9 years old! A number of the books in my library were given to me by German veterans and have special meaning.

Re: Show Us Your Library
A complete selection of original Munin Verlag books to include the rare, "Die Waffen-SS" by Dr. K.G. Kleitmann published in 1965. In the middle of the bottom row to the left of the big "Die Flugabwehrverbände der Waffen-SS" is "Treu Ihrem Volk" written under the pseudonym of F.G. Einer, who was actually the former SS-Standartenführer Joachim Ruoff, former Ia of the "Nord" Division and SS-FHA. My copy was given to my by the former SS-Sturmbannführer Günter Bernau with a note from 1995. The book was marked up with many comments by Bernau. Also in that book is a note from Joachim Ruoff to Günter Bernau in 1980.

The early Waffen-SS Bender books and original "Uniforms of the SS" series by Andrew Mollo are found here. The book by Emmy Göring was given to me by the former SS-Untersturmführer Ernst Knöringer, who became a rocket engineer after the war.

On the top shelf fourth from the left is one of the orginal bound copies of my "Signal Officers of the Waffen-SS". To the right are Mark Yerger's first books.
The four books on on the right side of the bottom shelf are the Vincx and Schotanius publications on the Dutch in the SS and were given to me by the former SS-Obersturmführer Fritz Hahl from Rgt. "Westland".

A book from Richard Hargreaves is hiding on the bottom shelf. Also, a nearly complete collection of Hans Hellmut Kirst, while although fiction is still very insightful. The copy of "The Forgotten Soldier" was published in 1971.

Re: Show Us Your Library
I use these large drawers to store my 1,500+ rolls of NARA microfilm. I have several stacks of these drawers in my archive. Several hundred NARA DVDs are stored in the DVD albums shown above the drawer stacks. I wish that DVDs had been available from NARA back when I first started purchasing microfilm.

Re: Show Us Your Library
Very nice! I wish I currently had space to put up my books, but most are still in boxes, as I indicated above
One question, what is the book that has a sunwheel at the bottom, and seems to say Europaische Freiwillige in der Panzer Division Wiking"? I don't believe I'm familiar with that book, but I think it is one I might need for my collection!

Re: Show Us Your Library
Thanks Marc. As to your sunwheel question, it's not actually a book but a VHS tape that the former Ustuf. Heinz Scherschel produced and gave to me. Next to it is one he did on the SS-Kavallerie the he and another vet narrates.
