Re: Show Us Your Library
Matt - Nice collection. I see that you have some of the early Bender books along with nearly a complete collection of the published works of Mark Yerger. What is the series of books with the blue covers next to Hel'ls Gate?

That's an impressive collection of Luftwaffe unit histories, Matt.
JG53 I recognise (the big JG53 in yellow is probably a clue ) and JG 27 and JG 77 too. What are the light blue volumes on the bottom right? KG27?

Two excellent books on the second shelf from the bottom.

Re: Show Us Your Library
John, Those books are a currently ongoing series titled "Der Jagdfliegerverbände der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1934 bis 1945". They cover the single engine day fighters on all fronts.
The authors are up to and working on the year 1943 now.
Richard, The books you asked about are JG 1. I only have one volume of KG 27 (for 1942) so far and that's the one to the left of JG 77.

Richard, Correction on the JG 1 books. They are combined volumes on JG 1 and JG 11.

Well, when you're based in Stavanger, you're allowed a little leeway!! Besides, even I have to have some knowledge of Norge volunteers!Nicolai wrote:Nothing out of the ordinary save for a number of books on the Norwegian volunteers in the Waffen-SS.

There's three excellent books if you count a tall, black one on the bottom shelfRichard Hargreaves wrote:Two excellent books on the second shelf from the bottom.
Oh, and I notice Cerebus the Aardvark (Church & State II) mixed in near the World War 2 material, I have had a set-up like that many times over the years, with my Elfquest, Cerebus, and other graphic novels sharing bookcases with my research books.

Here is my collection. I am reorganizing it so some books are in awful stacks, I do not usually tolerate that with my books. As of now, the collection is a bit naval topics heavy...

Thanks Matt. That's an impressive collection of Luftwaffe histories - and they're not cheap. I much prefer Prien's books when he works on his own, eg JG53/77, as he includes much more of the pilot's accounts than JG3/27. I can't fault the research, however. Truly stunning.rhodesm wrote:Richard, Correction on the JG 1 books. They are combined volumes on JG 1 and JG 11.

The graphic novels on the bottom shelf are a spill-over from the shelf to the left where I keep the rest of the comics
