Post by Nicole S. »

The memories of KC-holder Max Georg Bose are now in english language avaiable.

The unit history of Stug.Abt.177 is now avaiable in english language, the second part of Mr.Boses personal memories will follow soon - It will be titeled "Assaults guns to the front!"

Horrido!

You can order volume 2 now in English. I just did and have spoken directly with Georg Bose. Just go to the website www.cimm.de to bestellen and order the second volume, and write in the box that you would like a copy in English. Mr. Mobius will then email you, and put you in contact with Mr. Bose. I haven't received my copy yet, but it was translated by a retired U.S. army officer. I can't wait to get mine, and hopefully the others will be translated one day. Of course I should just finish learning German!

Part 2. It starts in 1943 when he first joined the Sturmgeschutze.

Hi all, my apologies, I have been away from the sight for far too long.

In reference to Georg Bose's book, he has published 4 books: Parts 1,2 & 3 of his war experiences in addition to the history of StugAbt 177.

We have been working on translating Part II of his war experiences into American English. I just finished it up in Dec 2010 and Georg is now working on getting it published. I hope to visit him shortly and we'll sit down to discuss possible US release.
Right now he has always self-published his books, so I cannot say how you can get a copy or when they will be ready. I can say this, Part II is from Kursk to the end of his war in Austria in May 45. A great read and he really did a great job recalling his experiences from his time on the Eastern Front.

I'll call him soon and get back to you all when the book will be ready and how you might be able to get a copy of it.

Sad news, I just got an e-mail that said Georg Bose had died. I was in the process of ordering one of his books in English.
