Kurowskis 12.Armee-book is simply outdated and never revised after its first print in the late 50es....the Volume by Gellermann is much, much, much better!

Ultimate Küstrin?

Hi,

So, for sure it's worth to buy this two:

1945 -- Als Küstrin in Trümmer sank -- Ich war dabei
Mit dem Füsilier Bataillon 303 in Küstrin

Any other books worth buying?

Maybe this titles:
Küstrin 1945, Hermann Thrams,
Brennendes Oderland, Band 4, (vorwiegend Kriegsereignisse von 1945 in Küstrin), Fritz Kohlase,
Le Tissier ?

Anything from the Russian side?

I'd like to have all good books about this topic, that bring something new, that's why ask and ask all the time...

Thanks in advance,

Le Tissiers book Kustrin 1945 draws heavily on both the Thrams and Kohlase works.

If you want the complete Küstrin/Oderland experience then you'll need a complete set of Brennendes Oderland (a rather expensive proposition...), but his one volume book Als Küstrin... is more than adequate for most people.

Personally, I didn't think much of Thrams - it's just not in the same league as Kohlase.

In English, Le Tissier's an excellent book to have.

There's also this book on the fate of the civilian populace:
