Personal Accounts

Post by Gebirgsjaeger »

Hi,

I´m looking for personal accounts from the "soldiers" point of view - German side.

Books in German or English would be cool. I don´t mind if it´s about a foot soldier, U-boat man or fighter pilot!

Thanks for your help!

Hmmm... With a name like Gebirgsjäger, I'd have to recommend http://www.aberjonapress.com but then I am a little biased!

Ave Gebirgsjager,

I would recommend ooking at the thread "memoirs and dairies" (or something like that) that is a sticky topic in the 'Books' section of feldgrau. If you see something that interests you, ask about it in a thread and people can tell you more about it.

And yes, Tom and sniper1shot are correct in what they say. You chould look at that as well.

Well, try Willi Kubik's work, it would keep you occupied and happy for several months.
