Thanks for the info Christoph. That is close to what I had come up with but the sentence structure seemed clumsy to me.
I don't understand what
econonically subordinated or economically belonging means? Does that mean they are all organized under the same unit?
So, KStN 142, 145, 146, 232 and 112 are then subordinated to the Headquarters Company for a Mountain Infantry Battalion (KStN 143)? I can't upload the jpeg of battalion layout as the board attachment quota has been reached and I am probably moving off topic anyway. But is the below correct for a November 1941 Gebirgsjäger-Bataillon?
Headquarters Company for a Mountain Infantry Battalion (KStN 143)
-Headquarters for a Mountain Infantry Battalion (KStN 112)
-Mountain Infantry Gun Platoon (KStN 142)
-Mountain Machine Gun Platoon (KStN 144)
-Mountain Engineer Platoon (KStN 145)
-Mountain Anti-Tank Squad (KStN 146)
-Signals Platoon (KStN 232)
