Re: Sperrverband vs Sperrgruppe
Hi,
Sperrverband is usually translated as something like 'blocking force or formation'. A unit assembled to for a specific task of preventing the enemy advancing somewhere.
Sperrlinie is a barrier or 'blocking line', i.e. where the Sperrverband would hold the enemy.
Sperrgruppe is, as far as I'm aware, a synonym for Sperrverband. Possibly indicating a looser organisation.
