Photo inscriptions

Post by grimmy »

Two more inscriptions on the reverse of some photographs. The first shows a group of tanks in a field, the second has some young soldiers on a tank in what is probably the NSKK school at Wriesen. Thanks in advance.

NSKK ?.S. Wriesen 18.4.1943

1. und 3. Zug beim Sammeln (Fahrschule)
links die Pz.K.W. des 1. Zuges (38t)
rechts die des 3. Zuges (1A)

-----------------------------------------------
Wenn der Panzer verdeckt ist, kann man ihn ja ruhig fotografieren.
---------------------------------------------------------------

1st and 3rd platoon assembling. (Driving school)
on the left PzKW of 1st platoon (38t)
on the right those of the 3rd platoon (1A)
-------------------------------------------------
in the second one I think he is saying that, when the panzer is hidden one can photograph it without rushing it.

Small addition, first line is "NSKK MS Wriezen"

NSKK MS stands for "Nationalsozialistischer Kraftfahrkorps - Motorsportschule" or
"National socialist drivers corps - motor sport school"

The motor sport schools were basically driver schools for SA, SS and Wehrmacht, but the NSKK also had transport units that supported Abt. Speer, Organisation Todt and the SA. The NSKK also supported german car and motorcycle racers before the war started. The school in Wriezen is a special one as the last trainers and recruits of the school fought with the "Korps Berlin" #the last battles at Berlin '45 and on the Seelow Highs.

The last line says "While the tank is covered, i think its ok to make a photo of it".
You have to know it was strictly forbidden to take private photos inside of barracks and especially photos of equipment.
