Talk about convoluted...

Post by Richard Hargreaves »

Have I cracked this nugget (I use the term loosely) correctly?
As numerous reports state, the fall of Tobruk, which many people almost regarded as "impossible", had an almost "cathartic" effect after recent military events which, despite the victories at Kerch and Kharkov, could not fulfil the expectations of the great offensive cherished by fellow Germans and hence the chance of fulfilling their wishes, namely the destruction of Bolshevism.

I'd give you a pass. I'm nit picking by saying you could leave out "people" and just say "many".
