Here's a 6 page letter with both envelope and letter stamped SS Polizei Division Berlin-912. It is dated 27th April 1943 and written on Republique Francaise Ministere De L'Armement notepaper.

(2.1.1940-27.4.1940) gestrichen, wurde Fp.Nr. 24971 D,
(28.4.1940-14.9.1940) Abwehr-Stelle Paris, dann Abwehr-Leitstelle Paris,
(6.4.1944-9.11.1944) 11.9.1944 gestrichen.
Whilst I can trace the number I'm not sure what the "S" represents.
If anyone can help with the translation I'd be very grateful.

Notes:
"Wallichen" seems to be the nickname for "Wally", which is a women's name.
Bln might stand for Berlin, he uses Bln several times in reference to a place, e.g. Blner Dienstreise
His children names I think were Heini and Helli.
Whoever can fill in the blanks, please feel free to do so, and please do correct if you think I don't have the right word!
The highlights in red I am not sure about.

heute Mittag schrieb ich
Dir kurz nur paar Zeilen, die
Du hoffentlich Freitag-Morgen
spätestens - evtl. schon Don-
nerstag-Abend - erhältst. Die Sache
ändert sich ja dauernd. Und das Beste
ist, ich schreibe überhaupt keine
genaue Ankunftszeit, sondern bin
eben einfach plötzlich da! Ich freue
mich ja auch sehr auf das Kommen, wenn
ich auch in Bln. allerlei Laufereien
haben werde und leider nur zu
bald wieder weg muß. Aber da-
für winkt ja jetzt in nicht zu
weiter Ferne der richtige Ur-
laub. Der heutige Tag ist recht
bunt für mich vergangen: Vormittags
meine Arbeit an neuen Sachen auf der Dienst-
stelle, Verhandlungen mit meinen "Freun-
den" der 2 letzten Wochen mit kl. Zusam=
menstößen dieser mit mir u. vor
allem mit B.; nachmittags P.R.W.- Fahrt

zu einer privaten frzs. Stelle, wo ich
etwas erfolgreich abholte, dann zu
unserer vorgesetzten Dienststelle,
wo ich mir einen schönen kurzen
Karabiner statt des langen, vor-
sintflutlichen Gewehres besorgte,
meine Reisegenehmigung abholte und
auch heute einen 2. Bezugsschein für meine
Mütze bekam. Dann ging's vom S. der
Stadt zum. S.O. zu meiner frzs. Dienststelle,
wo ich vernünftige alte Frontsoldaten
fand, mit denen immer nette Berüh-
rung möglich ist. Auch dort hatte ich für
weitere Arbeit in Maisgüter Erfolg.
Um ¼ 6 war ich zurück, traf B. noch
an, zog langsam zum Hotel, wo ich
seitdem bin. Ich habe 2 Stunden lang
noch ein weiteres (gestern saß ich
schon an mehreren Malbüchern etc.)
Bilderbuch für Helli übersetzt, was
ich ihm mitbringen will. Um ¼ 8 ging
ich essen, aß sehr schönen Eierkuchen
mit Bratkartoffeln u. noch eine
Portion Spargel von heute Mittag,
die mit einer Eier-Mehl-Sauce
recht gut schmeckten. Heute Mittag
gab's ein Stückchen Kalbsbraten mit Kartoff.
u. ca. 1 ½ Pfund Spargel, Kirschenkompott, Radieschen,
abends fr. Kopfsalat. Ich wurde recht schön
satt u. trank abends noch 2 Tassen Kaffee

mit Milch u. Zucker u. etwas Brot.
Heute früh baute ich den Ostertisch
ab, aß nochmals von Deinem schönen
Kuchen u. vom Schmalz. Der Rest
von beidem kommt morgen, Mit.
dran. Auch das letzte, dritte bunte
Osterei ließ ich mir heute schmecken,
auch dieses war wundervoll
obwohl Du es vor wohl fast 14
Tagen gekocht u. gefärbt hast.
Ich danke Dir nochmals für
all das Schöne. Vorhin nach dem
Abendbrot rauchte ich eine Deiner
guten Zigaretten. -

Meinen Brief von Fr., 16.4., hast Du nun also
doch noch erhalten, wenn auch erst am 23.4., also
nach einer Woche (!). Vielleicht kommt
dann auch noch der vom Di., dem 13.4., mit
dem Reisebericht ab Lyon, Nr. 353!? Schade ist's
ja, wenn so etwas verloren geht. Da
sitzt man stundenlang u. möchte Dir
alles schön beschreiben, u. dann geht's
einen ganz anderen Weg! Es ging aber
so eigenartige Fälle - ……… -
Im Westen waren in letzter Zeit
nicht so viele Angriffe, wenigstens
wurde davon nichts berichtet.
Letzte Nacht wurde von Duisburg,
Oberhausen, Mülheim (Ruhrgegend)
gemeldet. Von dem Angriff auf Bln.
v. 20./21.4., als Du die 2 Stunden mit den
Kindern im Keller saßest, wurde auch
nichts gesagt. - Mein 46. Brief an Heini war auch
4 Tage unterwegs! Daß Heini sich seinen
vorlesen ließ, dachte ich mir bei den 6 Seiten
schon im voraus. Fand Helli in seinem die
2 x 20 g Schweizer? Daß der kl. Mann wieder
so erkältet ist, tut mir leid. Aber Du
hast Recht: das eigenartige Wetter ist
Schuld daran. Ich friere hier auch beim
Schreiben, zog mir eben die ..... ….. wolljacke noch unter die …
Joppe! Die Ankunft der P. 146 .. u. 147 (ich hatte also
doch richtig gezählt, nur hier falsch notiert!) freuten
mich, vor allem, daß alles gut ankam.dann
haben die Männlein ihre 2 Ostereier (eines
konntest Du behalten!) noch erhalten.

Daß in der Welt allerlei los ist
und los sein wird, weiß ich. Du
bist auch wohl im Bilde. Man
möchte nur das Ende davon absehen können!
Die Zeitungsausschnitte haben
den Jungen also Spaß gemacht, das
dachte ich mir. - Wir sehen u. sprechen
uns nun wohl bald etwas, Wallichen!
Ihr, Du u. die Kinder, werdet ja
viel erzählen können u. wollen.
Denk nur an alles, was zu
besprechen wäre!! -- Die
Spinat-Abneigung hat sich Heini also noch
immer bewahrt. Das wird sich
wohl für später geben. Ich esse ihn
recht gern - schon aus Überlegung, und
weil ich fühle, wie frischer Spinat so
gut tut. - Soldaten - richtige Bleisoldaten -
gibt's auch hier jetzt kaum noch zu sehen. -
Von dem Sekt wurde ich jedesmal
schön müde u. schlief gut danach, ohne
Brummschädel! Ostersonntag waren
es 16 Wochen seit unserer letzten Tren-
nun; die 4 Monate wären ja erst
am 3. Mai herum. - Den Kindern hast
Du also auch noch Eier gefärbt (das
kennen übrigens die Franzosen
hier auch! Ich sah am … …ver-
schiedene bunte … an den
Feiertagen liegen); so werden die
Jungen schon genug österliche Stimmung
gehabt haben. - Daß, wie Du Karfreitag, …… es Hellilein wieder

spuckt er als doch jetzt schon größerer Junge
das ganze, gute Essen aber vorher aus??! -

today at noon I wrote
only a couple of lines to you, which
you hopefully received by
Friday morning at the latest,
possibly already by Thursday evening.
The situation is constantly changing.
And the best would be that I don't even
write an exact arrival time, but will
just be there all of a sudden!
I am looking forward to the arrival,
even if I will have all kinds of legwork
to do when I am in Bln., and that sadly
I have to leave again way too soon.
But on the other hand, the real
vacation is waiting for us not too far
away in the distance.
Today passed pretty colorful for me:
in the morning my work on new matters
at the Dienststelle (duty station), negotiations with my "friends"
of the last 2 weeks with minor
clashes between them and me, and
most of all with B.; in the afternoon

to a private French location, where I
successfully collected something,
then on to our principal duty station,
where I got me a beautiful, short
Karabiner (carbine) instead of the long,
antiquated gun, picked up my
travel permit, and received today a 2. permit
to obtain my hat. Then on it went
from the South of town to the South-East to my French
duty station, where I found decent old front-line soldiers,
with which always a friendly contact is possible.
There, too, I had success for further work of corn items.
5.15 pm I was back, found B. still there,
walked slowly to the hotel, where I have been since.
I translated for 2 hours another picture book for Helli, which
I want to bring back to him (yesterday I worked already
on several coloring books etc.). At 7.15 pm I went to eat something,
ate a very nice omelette with fried potatoes,
and on top of it a helping of asparagus which was left from
noon, which tasted pretty good with a Hollandaise sauce.
Today at noon I had a slice of veal with potatoes,
and about 1 ½ pounds asparagus, cherry compote, radishes,
in the evening fresh lettuce. I became pretty
full and drank 2 more cups of coffee in the evening

with milk and sugar and some bread.
Today in the morning I took down the Easter table,
ate once more from your wonderful cake
and from the lard. The rest of it will get its turn
tomorrow, Wednesday. The last, third, colored Easter egg I
enjoyed also today. It was wonderful as well,
although you had cooked and colored it probably almost
14 days ago. I thank you again for all those goodies.
A while ago, after the evening meal, I smoked one of
your good cigarettes. -
Today at noon I received your dear 190. little letter
from 22. April (Thursday) with the greetings of both
boys from Good Friday morning (23. April) , and your
follow-up. Both wrote so nice, and
Heinile is looking forward so much to my arrival -
I am looking forward to it as well to see him again! -
I don't expect anymore mail from you after your lines
from today, as I hope to be on my way to you
by the day after tomorrow (29. April) already. -
Your letter unfortunately took 4 days again to reach me.
Your beautiful Easter packet I acknowledged already
several times, also the wonderful content and its
great condition.

My letter from Friday, 16. April, you did receive after all,
even so only by 23. April,
therefore one week afterwards (!). Perhaps
the one from Tuesday, 13. April will arrive yet,
with the travel report starting at Lyon, Nr. 353!?
It is a pity, if something like that gets lost.
There one sits for hours and would like to describe
everything very well to you, and then it does follow
another path completely. But there are strange cases…..
In the West there were not too many attacks lately,
at least nothing was reported about it.
Last night there were reports from Duisburg,
Oberhausen, Mülheim (Ruhr-area).
About the attack at Bln. from 20./21.April, where you with the
children sat in the basement for 2 hours,
nothing was mentioned either.
My 46. letter to Heini has been in transit 4 days
as well. With the 6 pages it contained, I suspected
already in advance that Heini wanted it read to him.
Did Helli find the 2 x 20 g Schweizer in his letter?
I am sorry to hear that the little man has such a cold again.
But you are right: the strange weather is to blame. I am
getting cold here while writing, just put on the cardigan
underneath my heavy jacket!

pleased me very much, especially that all arrived well.

So Heini retained the dislike about spinach.
Later on it probably passes. I do like to eat it,
already by deliberation, and
because I feel, how fresh spinach benefits one. -
Soldiers - real lead soldiers - are almost not to be found
anywhere. - I got tired every time from the champagne,
and slept well afterwards, without the headache!
It has been 16 weeks on Easter Sunday since our last
separation; the 4 months would be over only around 3. May. -
So you did color eggs for the children yet (by the way, the French
people know that as well! I saw …. different colored …..
on the holidays!); so the boys will have had enough
Easter atmosphere. - It is good that Hellilein is better,
like you on Good Friday.

So why does he, as an already bigger boy, spit the whole, good
food out beforehand??! - So you did have better weather on Good Friday?
Here it was a bit milder as well. But just for Easter it became cooler,
windy, changing, and it stayed liked that.

I will be glad to think about the 2. pair of pyjamas for Heini,
but because of lack of money and especially time, only after the little
Bln-duty-trip. Do remind me about it!! -
Frau Müller still can supply you with magazines?
You did not write about it at all any time recently. -
Did Heini see you in "his" pajamas, that he was so happy about? -
Did you go to the "big forest" now on Good Friday? -
