An officer evaluation says he was "Stabsoffizier Für Panzerbekämpfung". Staff officer for opposing tanks?? Any idea what it means, or what the responsibilities of a Panzerbekämpfung officer were?
Thanks, Jerry

Hello
To get the real sense it should translate as "anti tank combat"

Re: Panzerbekämpfung
Wouldn't that be the Stopak? Or is it basically the same position?

Yes that is the same position
Re: Panzerbekämpfung
Thank you gentlemen. That's what threw me off, that it wasn't panzerabwehroffizier or something to that effect.
