How the word "Satz" in this text is translated? Is this unit(Batterie) or Geraet?

Military German language and "normal" German language are sometimes very different. In military German there is no plural in the use of abbreviations.
A "Satz" is a set of something. In your examble a set of heavy mortars (schweres Werfer- oder Wurfgerät). In "normal" German the sentense would be: Einsatz der Abteilung mit 4 Sätzen des schweren Werfergerätes zur Beschießung...
Because of the use of the military abbreviations it is "4 Satz s. Wfg.".
Unfortunally I don`t know how many mortars are belonging to one set (Satz) of mortars.
