Albert Liebe

Post by Ronald Lameck »

I seek information or ways to gather information about Albert Liebe. Born in 1904 at or near Magdeburg, he was conscripted into Das Deutsche Heer (the German Army) in (probably) 1940. From photgraphs, I can determine that he attained at least the rank of Feldwebel (sargeant) and was probably in a signals unit of some unknown size. Captured by the Soviets in 1945, he was held in a P.O.W. camp somewhere in Poland. He died in captivity sometime in 1947.
