Russian POW question
My great uncle was a russian POW. is there a way to find info on this?

Hi there,a few years ago the Vladimir Putin released some information regarding the 2nd world war.
I don't know if you can give them a name and hope that they can come up with something but there is no harm in trying.
As time goes by we can only hope that the kremlin in all their wisdom can release more details on our loved ones, as did the soviets they suffered greatly also.

and keep your fingers crossed. They are next to hopeless - lets say arrogant, when it comes to replying. Your nearest Russian embassy and or consulate may be a good start.
The International Council of the Red Cross in Geneva is a good bet.
