Hello,
This morning I bought a really wonderful grouping of an Obergefreiter who died in Russia.
His name was Rudi Schüßler, who was born on the 28th of August, 1920 in Bad Ems.
He has seen a lot of action, France, Belgium, Luxembourgh,and finally Russia, where he died.
His awards:
Infantry Assault Badge in Silver: 10th of December 1941.
Iron Cross 2nd Class: 22nd of January 1942, Award document signed by the CO. of the 34. Inf. Div. Gen. Maj. Friedrich Fürst.
Winter War Medal: 26th of July 1942.
Hitlerjugend Honour Badge: Date and grade of award unknown.
Promotions:
Gefreiter: 1st of December, 1940.
Obergefreiter: 1st of September 1941.
Feldpostnumner: 09202.

Newspaper cut about Rudi's death.
Another Document, don't know what it is about, maybe something about the body of Rudi coming back to Germany? It is adressed to his father.

a nice thing to have a grouping consisting of material from the same person,in most occasions all the things get split apart,nice find!

I now have contact with the wife from one of Rudi's comrades, where I also have documents from (letter to the man where in is described how Rudi died)
Is there anybody who has information or a website about Heldenfriedhof Malyschewka? Because Rudi was burried there.
