Hello Waleed and thanks for the book information! I've never heard of this book before, but they have it on http://www.amazon.de where it also recieved great reviews. This book will most probably be a buy in the near future... :[]

I just found (thanks to Michael/Nordwest) a very interesting group photograph of Karl Dönitz, surrounded by highly decorated members of the Kleinkampfverbände... It just must be shared! :D

Walther Gerhold, the only enlisted man in the Kriegsmarine and in the Kleinkampfverbände who received the Ritterkreuz for actions previously mentioned in this thread, has passed away at age 101. Born in 8.VI.1921, Herr Gerhold died on 2.III.2013. He had served as a police officer after the war, reaching the rank of Polizeihauptkommissar...
