If you know the gun type I might just if you are lucky be able to give a list of likely units.

I have no unit listed in the Balkans, however it has to be said that my information is sketchy.

Hello Cyril! -

Do you have any information on what unit it was subordinated to?

I've just spent the last 2 weeks researching an Axis OOB for 22 June 1941, including the Balkans, and haven't run across mention of any Art.Btty-E.

Most probably he means an Eisenbahn (E) Artillery Battery, i. e. Railroad Artillery.

1 E-Batt. has been there, but I don´t know the number and the Artillery type.

You're probably right Stauffenberg.
Afraid I'm not much help as the only (E) Artillery Unit I have noted for around that time period is a reference to an Eisenbahn Art. Abt. 725 formed in Nov. 1941 with no indicaiton where it served.

Oh well!
