If somebody can help you out, they will. Just be patient.
It's not because you post here something you'll get a full answer in less then 30 minutes.

Feldmarshall!

Two points to help you. As Michael said the Hassel´s story are fiction. There was a Pz.Rgt.27 but this was not a penal (disciplinary as you say) unit!! Why give prescious tanks to a penal unit?

Second point is if you look for information of the REAL Pz.Rgt.27 you have to be more specific. Just to ask for information can mean nothing and all. Do you want the formation informations, a action overview, commanders, equipment.... what? You have to be more specific to get a satisfying answer.

regards,
Christoph

Bonjour mon ami!

Patience my good friend from la province de Quebec of Canada! :D

Sometimes waiting a few days can bring some good answers from various knowledgeable people on these Forums.

Sorry for my poor French!

As said above the 27th Panzer Regiment was a regular Heer Panzer unit and part of the 19th Panzer Division. Here are some good links from online on the 27th Panzer Regiment and 19th Panzer Division. I hope this helps!

Bonjour Feldmarschall

La question, que tu as posé est intéressante. Je viens de controler les liens donnés et je vois que, de temps en temps, les romains sont d'accord avec l'info sur le vrai 27.

1944 in Poland, as in Reign of Hell and late 43 equipped with Panthers (I think this is mentioned in Wheels of Terror). For the rest, I'd have to reread the books; Might make an interesting winter project, separating act from fiction.

Just my 2c (US or Can) worth!! :D
Regards
