Help in deciphering ZK card and Kgfeg/Request papers from WASt

Post by [email protected] »

I have received from WASt, the ZK card and the Kefeg/Request for back pay and compensation upon release from Soviet POW camp cards on a member of my family. Would anyone be familiar with, or know someone who is knowledgeable with the shorthand used on these personnel records? My schrift is adequate for some things but not this. I have the book on Wehrmacht abbreviations but my take on the letters makes no reason whatsoever. This individual, a Obergefreiter in the Regiment/Division Grossdeutschland was captured March1943 by the Russians, survived the POW camps and returned to Germany 1950. He was a Kradmelder [motorcycle dispatch rider].... I will be happy to e mail the scans if someone is willing to give it a try. Thanks! Mike Konczak [email protected]
