The whereabouts of StuG.Abt.210 in late 1942 ??

Post by castro323 »

Hi,

Can anyone please provide the situation or what units did Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 210
was attached in September 1942 to January 1943.

According to the website Sturmgeschütz vor! (stugiii.com)

Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 210 unit history

Sep 42 - XXXXIV Corps, 17th Army, Army Group A
Oct 42 - XXXXIV Corps, 17th Army, Army Group A less 1./ assigned to LVII Panzer Corps

I am most interest of 1.Batterie of Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 210 attached to LVII.Panzerkorps in October 1942.
For how long did 1.Batterie stayed with LVII.Panzerkorps ??
Did 1.Batterie participate in the relief attempt of A.O.K.6 trapped in Stalingrad in December 1942 ??
If possible, any kind of information regarding the
Sturmgeschütz-Abteilung 210 with XXXXIV Armeekorps in October to December 1942.

I appreciate for any help and
Thanks in advance,
Apollo

Hi, well, just off the top of my head I can say that LVII Panzerkorp was on the receiving end of the Soviet "Little Saturn" offensive from 12/15/42 into the next year.
