Just came across a table title 'Ist-Starke der opertiven Verbande der Heeresgruppe A (Stand: 1 JANUAR 1945)
For Pi.Bde. 70 the Starke figure given is 4,892 which to me seems a little high for the Brigade by itself given that the Brigade formed with just two Pi.Btls I assuming there are some other independent units (festung btl's?) are included in this figure especially as the brigade would appear to be defending a sizable section of frontage along the Vitsula. A later Panzer Lage table describes the Brigade as Sperrverb. H.Pi.Brig. 70 with 5x 7,5-cm-Zug under the Ist column and the following non divisional units all serving under XXXXII Korps on the same date.
2. Paksperr-Kp
1. Paksperr-Kp
StuG.Brig.322
s.H.Pz.Jgd.Kp 669
StuG.Brig.201
Both tables are from 'Das Deutsche Reich und der Zweite Weltkrieg: Der Zusammenbruch des Deutschen Reiches 1945' volume 10/1
Any suggestions most welcome.
Cheers
