Can't find "Technisches Bataillon"

According to records that I recently received, after a brief stay at a hospital on the Eastern Front (Kriegslazarett 4/603 Rostow) my relatives record shows a reassignement to "3.KompanieE./Technisches Bataillon (motorisiert) 13". However, I have been unable to find anything that explains what a Technisches Bataillon is. Does anyone have any information on what purpose a T.B. may have served or what it is?

So in trying to get a particular units history and being new at this i am at a complete loss as to how to determine what the below means and where to find information on what they did and where they were. Any help in figuring out what group these units were attached to is appreciated.

Did you consider entering "Technisches Bataillon" and "Technical Battalion" in the Google search engine? I did and got about 4,000 hits in all.
