Seeking information on a Hilmar Roll, Das Reich Division

Post by Wiser11 »

Seeking information, or any leads or records on a Hilmar Roll. He was in the Waffen SS. "Feldpostnummer"or army postal service number as of July, 1944: 34 192, which identifies him with 1.San.Kp.u.1.Kr.Kw.Zug San.Abtl.2 (2.SS-Div.)..
This reads as: 1st Motor Ambulance Platoon, 1st Medical Company, 2nd SS-Medical Battalion (2nd SS-Division, or "Das Reich" Division). The 1st Motor Ambulance Platoon was added to the FP Number on 24th July 1944. Before this the number belonged only to the first Medical Company.

He was born May 1, 1924 in S. Russia (today Ukraine) to Jakob Roll and Elizabeth Albrecht. He must have been killed in action. I have not been able to find any death records for him. Would like to find these or any information about when and where he died, and to trace any history of his army unit. He must have died after July 24, 1944. Any help is appreciated.
