Hi
I am looking for information on what FJD9 had for vehicles - if any - and heavy weapons around the Seelow Heights time frame. These would be the unit's that were not at Breslau.
Many thanks for your time and help
Larry

Re: Fallschrimjager Division 9 1945
Thanks folks I realized that there probably would not be much out there. I have been told that the book "Bloody Streets" has the entire Division with 6,758 soldiers with 8 Hetzers but no other details......

This quote from Martin Block was passed on to me
The Jagdpz. 38 company with the 9. Fallsch.Jg.Div. was the former Pz.Jg.Lehr-Kp. Bergen, which on 13.2.1945 had received orders to transfer from Milowitz to the H.Gr. Weichsel sector to join the division. 14 Jagdpz. 38 were delivered the next day. The company then remained with the 9. Fallsch.Jg.Div. until the end.
The Pz.Jg.Lehr-Kp. Bergen - as the name suggests - had originally been intended to become a demonstration unit at the Pz.Tr.Schule Bergen/Fallingbostel. It had been formed using the personnel of Pz.Jg.Kp. 1258 of the former 258. Inf.Div. which had been disbanded in September 1944.
The full composition of Fallsch.Pz.Jg.Abt. 9 is unfortunately not exactly clear to me. An authorized OoB chart dated 18.2.1945 shows Fallsch.Pz.Jg.Abt. 9 with 3 Pz.Zerst.Kpn. only, i.e. those companies initially were authorized to have just hand-held a/t weapons like Panzerschreck and Panzerfaust. But on 15.3.1945 it was ordered to re-organize all Fallsch.Pz.Jg.Abteilungen with 1 Jagdpz.Kp. (StuG or Jagdpz. 38) and 2 Pz.Jg.Kpn. (7,5 cm Pak 40 mot.Z.). By that time the 9. Fallsch.Jg.Div. already had the Jagdpz.Kp. assigned to it, but I am unable to tell you to what extend that order was carried out regarding the other two companies. The division did report having some 9 s.Pak mot.Z. during the first half of April 1945 but I do not know if they were with Fallsch.Pz.Jg.Abt. 9 or with any of the Fallsch.Jg.Rgt. which in theory were authorized to have a 14.(Pz.Jg.) Kp. each with 12 s.Pak mot.Z. in the 18.2.1945 OoB.

Hi Ivan
I only have some basic books on the FJ and the usual books on the Battle of Berlin. No I don't have the book you mentioned.
I found Martin Block's quote from here:

How ever I do not speak/read German

Larry, There is nothing in German on that link which need worry you as far as 9 FD is concerned, the only post by Martin Block in German is about the Named Divisions and not your 9th.
