This is a tricky one.
Under K.St.N. 716 (behelf) dated 6th March 1940m each Pioneer-Battalion of a Panzer Division was to have Abwurfvorrichtungen Pz.Kpfw. I (explosive chage dropping devices). Eventually, 11 PzKpfw.I Ausf.B were placed in the 3.Kompanie of each battalion. The 17 Panzer Divisions at the start of Barbarossa had this arrangment, and I believe that so did the 2nd and 5th Panzer Divisions when they went to Russia.
My question is this. Did the 22nd, 23rd and 24th Panzer Divisions, sent to Russian in February, March and May 1942, have the same organisation and when did the issue of Pz.Kpfw.I for this purpose end?
Any help would be appreciated.
Daniel..
