Einheit bei Zeubelried (Ochsenfurt) / Unit at Zeubelried

Hello,

I'm looking for the name of a unit, that was in duty near Zeubelried (Ochsenfurt), Bavaria, south of Wuerzburg at the begin of April 45. As far as a I know, the unit consisted of young people 17 years up.
My grandfather was one of them, and was wounded by a US-Tank-machine-gun. After that he became a US POW.

Before all that he and his unit were around Wuerzburg, cause my grandmother has told me, the he saw the bombing of wuerzburg on march 16th 1945 from the hills surrounding the town.

I would like to know more about the unit, but therefore I need its name!!

I know your post was 11 years ago, but I am still trying. I do not know the name of the unit.

One of our family members (Paul) lost his life in Zeubelried on 4. April 1945 how is also mentioned at the memorial at the chruch in Zeubelried, Ochsenfurt.

I recently visited it and the memorial is nicely maintained. I have made some pictures. Please contact me, if anyone would like to see these pictures.
