hello
I'm french
I seek number d'un tiger destroyed in Beja it is known that SCHWERE PANZER ABTEILUNG 501 had 18 tiger in February 43:
711, 712, 714, 721, 722, 724, 731, 732, 734, 811, 812, 814, 821, 822, 824, 831, 832, 834.
February 26: They attack and capture Sidi-Nen-Sir
February 28 the, attack one begins again, but to 11 kilometers of Beja seven Tiger jump on mines or are blocked by an anti-tank ditch, it remains only 2 Tiger
March 1 the offensive is stopped. All the immobilized tanks are scuttled
and there remains one operational Tiger.
one can thus deduct from them that the 18 tiger attacked in Beja the 28, 7 of them remained on the ground and was scuttled, which wants to say that I've the choice among 18 and the that same one
if I know the numbers, that still does not say which to me are the 7 there destroyed this day?
someone can help me?

Re: SCHWERE PANZER ABTEILUNG 501
A lot of research has been completed in the 13 years since you asked this question. So I can give you the complete answer.
In February, the battalion was attached to 7 Panzer Brigade. The numbers of the 2nd company Tigers were altered (I don't know about the other tanks). The first digit was changed from "2" to "8". This resulted in the following Tiger list:
01 02 11 111 112 121 131 132 141 142 81 811 813 823 833 841 843
The following Tigers are not in the list:
122 - destroyed through artillery and subsequent fire
231 - knocked out on January 31
21 - irreparably damaged on January 31. It is counted in the German strength list but it will never be used again.
Tiger 221 was renamed as the replacement for 21 and now it was 81.
Then we had Operation Ochsenkopf. The Tigers lost in the attack on Beja were:
11 141 142 811 823 833 843
