I think your idea is a great one and I've been considering doing this for a long time. I want to make it a requirement that each new poster posts a welcome message in the intro section when they join this forum. That will also help with combating spam and fake user accounts as well as it will make them easier to target. The only down side is that we've been online for years and have thousands of users who have never posted such a welcome message...
