In reference to the question about how to indicate donors, how about adding slightly modified ranks?

For example, a Contributor would rank just below a Hilfe-Contributor, and a Patron would rank just below a Hilfe-Patron.

Just my fatigue-induced, anal-retentive suggestion for the day!

Hi,

There are too much "patron". This forum looks like a mexican army where there are more generals than soldiers ( french expression).
Why not a rank with the speciality like the german generals : Patron der Artillerie, Patron der Infanterie....

So long.

Feldgrau Owner Of Europe (9999-10000 and further (+) )
Just fixed a few spelling mistakes......also the Admin (Jason Pipes) Could be a Fuehrer anyway since it's his site.....or he could be a "Fuhrer Assistant"
Well anyway, that's my point of View.
But i don't think we will be seeing a Feldgrau Owner Of Europe for another 30 Years......if Feldgrau is still around!
J.Pipes, do you hope to continue running feldgrau as long as possible or are you planning an end date?

Hi Nibelung,

Just a question : I wonder if the patrons of this forum have a few advantages like golden parachutes, stock options and young pretty secretaries ?

so long.

Everything comes to an end

Where is Mr Pipes anyways and where are all the moderators? This forum more or less seems to run on its own.

I don't see "Commissar" on that list of ranks or "Hero of the Soviet Union"!.

Tom, I can think of one German soldier during the war whose Kameraden reffered to him as a "Hero of the Soviet Union".

Dackel Staffel,

I don't need golden parachutes...but it would really be great to have some young good looking secretaries - you can never have to many! :D

BTW, could you write a couple of words in french what to say to a loved girl? (With translations :D ) ...You would do me a favour. ;) ...just a couple of words. :D

Retaliator,

As I saw some comments about shutting Feldgrau down and the absence of moderation: I think that you should not look at Soldatenheim and suggest that there is an absence of moderation.. The research function of this forum still works just fine - as a result of good members who know how to use it.

best regard,
Nibelung

Hi Nibelung,

What kind of "sweet talk" do you need ? but just an advice, never use a fish name if you are talking to a woman.
If she is fat, in french we say she is a whale
If she is ugly, in french we say she is a tuna fish
If she is a slut, in french we say she is a cod ( morue=tart, for her pimp we say in french he is a mackerel)

But it's strange that in french when one curses a woman with fish names, the french expression is : " to tell her bird names"

So long

Guys, this topic is meant to be about forum ranks, not things to say to sexy girls...
