Re: Will do! Stay tuned...

The word is that the director who's signed on to do it wants it to be the European equivalent, in terms of authenticity and grittiness, to be more like "Band of Brothers," and not like the typical apologetic European film covering the period. Ave Doug, where are you coming by this informa...

As for the double feeding, I'm not farmiliar with the working mech of the M1, so i cannot comment, but imagine the recoil from it. 30.06 calibre? Must have been impossible to handle. Ave Lucas, I have fired the M1 garand and I found the recoil acceptable for repeated firing. The BAR was also 30.06 ...

Ave ak74, 10g seems very unlikely to me as I have heard that most people pass out between 5-7g. Most civilian aircraft can take up to about 4.5g, and I hear that modern fighter pilots can take about 9g (with special suits) without passing out. I doubt very much that the stuka pilots routinely pulled...

Interesting and rarely discussed topic about an often forgotten aspect of the german warmachine. were they braver? Yes, they had rituals to divide the cowards from the heroes. They placed a handgrenade on the helmet of a soldier and let it explode. Did he start to cry and wimmer he went to the Heer...

Ave Colonel Sanders,

I don't know about the Soviets, but the Germans required a CO or NCO as a witness.

Ave jscott,

Avete,

Phosphorus shells were also used by the Americans against infantry with terrible effect, such as at Remagen.

Was such ammunition against 'international law?'

Who Are All The Veterans?

Avete, I know who some of the veterans are on this forum, but I keep discovering posts that seem to reveal yet another veteran. If at all possible, could someone post a list of the veterans? Perhaps give username, conflict, and which force they were in. i.e. Rudi WW2 Großdeutschland The veterans the...

Avete,

Mostly, just avoid jarring the ammo too much. Put them in a place where they are not going to be knocked off any sort of height. I keep my ammo under my bed.
