18 and 20.Luftwaffenfeld Divisions

In the new Concord Book, Luftwaffe Field and Flak Divisions, the authors claim that the 18 and 20 Luftwaffenfeld Divisions were converted into Volksgrenadier Divisions. This is news to me. Can anyone help to confirm or disavow this.
Thanks,

Re: Kurmark

Thank you, I really enjoy your book. Curious, what would you consider the various named Panzerverband Ausbildungs(Donau,Bohmen, etc.) formed at the end of the war? Brigades or divisions?
Thanks,

Kurmark

Does anyone definitely if this was a panzergrenadier or panzer division. In the new "Fire Brigades" it is not listed, but mentioned as a panzergrenadier division.

Re: IVOberhesse Battalion/905.Division

Thanks for the info. Blame it on George F. Nafziger book. He actually has it listed as "IV Oberhesse Batalion".

New Book

Mostly photos, but there is text in the 160 pages. I have not seen many of the photos before. Translation can be rough at times. Still the book is a worthwhile purchase I think.

Reichspostdirektionen

Just finished reading the Osprey Publication, "The German Home Front 1939-45" by Brian L. Davis. Some mention is made of the Reichspostdirektion; he states there were only 38 Reichspostdirektion in Germany. With the exception of the Berlin Reichspostdirektion, all 37 Reichspostdirektionen(...
