schnorkel coating
There WAS such a coating for the schnorkels of type XXI-boats - code name "Schornsteinfeger".
No further information, but it should prevent against cm-wave-radars.

In my opinion Hoog´s work is an outstanding reference for german artillery in general, but he didn´t wrote anything about German NAVAL gunnery.
