Hi Stefan Well I would suggest that with France being Defensive, America being Isolationist and England being Pacifist, that only Germany, Italy and Japan didn’t learn anything from WW1. And no matter what the final outcome WW1, from the allied point of view, it was first and fore most a war against...

I agree with you Tom. And Paul, just because the last few WW1 vets are fading away doesn’t mean that they died needlessly. If they hadn’t flocked to the defense of the realm we would have been speaking and different language now. I don’t see that as a waste of a generation. Don’t get me wrong, I do ...

Very bad taste at a very bad time!

Sometimes, no matter what your political or regligous ideas you have to fight to survive and be free, and that sadly, sometimes involves killing and being killed!

Good for you Shadow.

Hmmm All very interesting opinions above. May i just state the fact that most soldiers dont actually like being a reserve. We train to do a job, a job that sucks i agree, but we choose to do it. And when you train to do something you kinda like to see it through to the end. If the yanks need our hel...

I did read a while back. but cant remember in what, that they were hung with piano wire from meat hooks until dead. The event was filmed and shown to units but a lot of units walked out and refused to watch so the film was withdrawn.

Sorry to say but the SAS rarely use the M16.

Used to but not these days.

Weapon of choice is the Minimi or a HK these days although, depending on task, the M16 may be used.

Try the following 1. The Raider Kormoran by Cpt Theodor Detmers SBN 426 12100 2 Very old and might not be in print now, my copy is 1957. 2. Atlantis by A. V. Sellwood as told by Ulrich Mohr 450 01499 1 Again an old one mine is 1973 but both books make an excellent read as they are written by the cap...
