Hi Rich, Could you specify exactly what were the documents you read ? I think you're right, but I think it is better to be sure ;-) Do you think the other "Artillerie Divisionen" (except the 18., which existed whithout a doubt) were also Harko/Arko changed in divisions by someone who could...

309. Artillerie Division or Höheres Artillerie Kommando 309
Hi ! An artillery staff was raised in France in January 1944 to control independant artillery units on the English Channel coasts. But I couldn't find its exact designation. Several sources (included lexikon-der-wehrmacht or diedeutschewehrmacht) tell that it was an artillery division, 309. Artiller...

Hi Jerry ! Yeah, it's nice to be back and to see you again ;-) Thanks for your answer. You confirm what I supposed right, but I prefered to be sure. So, there are eight new motorized corps between summer 1940 and spring 1941 : - III. - XXIV. - XXXX. - XXXXVI. - XXXXVII. - XXXXVIII. - LVI. - LVII. Th...

Denomination of some corps, fall 1940 and spring 1941
Hi all ! I'm looking for the exact denomination of the following corps between october 1940 and june 1941 : - XXIV. Armeekorps. - XXXX. Armeekorps. - XXXXI. Armeekorps. Some sources told that they were considerated as Armeekorps (Motorisiert) since november 1940 at least, whereas others told that th...

Hi Christoph,
Thank you for your answer. That's what I thought about this regiment: it's hard to know if it was subordinated to this division.
Could you specify me the sources which tell it was under 2. Lei. Div. and those which tell it was not?
Thanks again,
Regards,
Skarn

German borderguard units 1935-1939
Hi again, I'm currently studying the formation of the German Heer during the second part of the 30's. There is no real problem to see the process of forming of the army regular units, but this is more difficult to understand this process for other corps, like Landespolizei (disbanded on October 1935...

Panzer Regiment 25 with 2. Leichte Division in Poland ?
Hi all ! I'm looking for anything about the subordination of this regiment during the Polenfeldzug, and I especially want to know whether it was under 2. Leichte Division command during the campaign (if the answer is yes, for what reason and when was it subordinated to it ?). Another topic, but link...
