This book is a good view of what artillery was supposed to be doing during big attacks, and how the artillery arm developed techniques to get that done. Not so much the inner workings of a battery, though.

Other reasons for Britain and France not to declare war on the Soviet Union: If Britain declared war, the USSR could promptly occupy the British sphere of influence in Persia, thus depriving the western allies of a major oil production region. (And get uncomfortably close to cutting the Suez Canal.)...

This is not a bibliography of the 1939 Poland campaign. It is a bibliography of the German armed forces in the Poland campaign. Or since this is the Feldgrau forum, does that go without saying?

I think the combat award badge on the tunic is proof that she's just borrowing the uniform.

Is this fellow, Yankel Litman, wearing the army uniform of Romania, Poland, or Hungary, possibly pre-WWII?
