More assistance
I have one sentence that I cannot work out: Er machte den meisten schriftlichen Verkehr, das war für mich eine große Erleichterung, so konnte ich täglich hinaus zu einer Kompanie fahren und nach dem Nötigsten sehen, was ich mir natürlich auch notiertem damit es weiterbearbeitet wurde. Thanks so mcuh...

Heeres-Zeugämter
Hi all,
What is the Heeres-Zeugämter. Is it a place where someone would order more weapons/equipment for a unit?
Thanks in advance.

I too have 2 children, brand new house, new job less than 4 months old, commitments etc...however I can still help. So there should not be any excuse why other members ...

Re: Research Help
I am just shooting out the door to go to work. But you can see from his pass in 1938 that he was a Kanonier (lowest rank for an Artilleryman - flak or ground). So this means he was most likely a gun number on a Flak gun. However in 1943 he has the rank of San. Uffz (Sanitater Unteroffizier). So this...

Re: Research Help
Thanks for that. The trouble is knowing somewhere to start. Is it worth looking in the Bundesarchiv for information as i know there are links to some researchers who you can pay to source info. My suggestion is that you start by putting all the information you have now on this post. Eg Name, Regime...
