Re: ONLY 1 (one)
My choice for an English language memoir would be Tigers in the Mud by Otto Carius. Well written, honest and without excess poetry (Sledge is too poetic to me). And no PC. There is one excellent memoir in English I'd heartly recommend but I have read it in Finnish so I don't know if it qualifies: Ja...

Re: E-Book Plans of Authors & Publishers
John, perhaps my message was a bit ambiguous. So, 1) By $10,000 I meant the value of my current book collection. If that was stored only in a digital format, all that money would vanish by a simple EMP burst. No thanks. 2) Some of the most important books for me are large format ones with large size...

Re: E-Book Plans of Authors & Publishers
For me the e-book is dead at birth. There are many reasons. First, for a bibliophile the idea of storing books in digital format is blasphemy. Two, I have no interest in storing anything for which I have invested over $10000 in a device that can be so easily damaged as electronic storage formats. An...

Re: Feldgrau Author: Stephan Hamilton
As far as I am corcerned, I have little, i.e. zero, interest in digital versions. I have to spend several hours a day staring at a computer screen already so if I had to add reading books on screen to that (ANY screen) , no deal. Plus since e.g. an A4-sized book allows reproduction of A3-sized image...

Re: Ostfront fans, more excellent Ostfront books are coming!
Those two Stackpoles referred to by Richard look good! I just wish Szamveber's and Kamen Nevenkin's books would actually see the light of the day soon...

Re: Prohorovka/Lawrence
It is very much alive. It is a huge project that will take perhaps a further year (the editing process alone has been really painstaking) or so to hit the shelves. It won't be cheap but it will be huge! More details I cannot post right now.

23. PD History/Rebentisch
Seems that those of us who missed the hardcover edition for a reason or another (it is out of print) will get a second chance: http://www.amazon.com/Combat-History-Pa ... 612&sr=1-1

Re: Explosive New Book about Kursk Coming out in May
I expect to get my copy in a few weeks. Seems to be a busy time for Kursk books given this one, Zamulin's book plus a forthcoming huge one from Chris Lawrence...
