my friend = dumbass (I was trying to be kind) As far as your cohort muashi goes, take a look at some of his posts on the Axis (so-called) History Forum...the guy (assuming) is a blatant anti-German/Pro-Polish poster that checks all facts at the door to the forum before he posts...I have no time for...

At the beginning I saw going to comment fknorr's post short and simple: crap. But anyhow I think it deserves a few more lines. - Stating that this diary does not mention the fact that Dirlewanger's men were not all poarchers and undermaining this diary on that basis is childish. This Belgian had ful...

to Jock Do not count on Russian government - they never disclose anything about their shameful past. Most likely the man in question died in gulag, because majority of POWs died there. Of course this could happen only if he was not killed right at the spot - i.e. all SS soldiers were killed instantl...

The problem with forum (a forum in general, not particularily this one) is that firstly discussion takes really long, exchange of arguments as well (relates to Nibelung), and secondly it is often the case when writing about one must either concentrate on the subject stricktly or write lengthy and po...

to Sigrun Many of what you say is true, however general approach is not acceptable and inhumane in my PERSONAL opinion. It is true that convoys could not rescue sailors from the water. It was stricktly prohibited because it would endanger the convoy en gross (merchant ships had to go on, destroyers ...

Fights took place between 25.I.1945 and 17.III.1945. Most of them there conducted within the city of Malbork (declared to be a Festung, but many other cities got this status - it was in no way as well fortified as i.e. Wroclaw/Breslau) and also battles for the castle itself. Defenders comprised of G...

I strongly agree with Sigrun and others about impossibility of taking prisoners by U-boots. There was no space, no time and it was too dangerous. But reading after Sigrun Further, in the case of such summary executions where they did occur, I'd wager the predominent motives empathy and humanity rath...

Let's not quarrel, because it usually does not bring any good results. In most cases both sides leave it assured, that they were right, and the opponent is a complete nuts. Of course not all Germans were bad. Of course some of them were trying to fight Nazi, some of them were even preparing assassin...
