well, if you put the gas into lots of jerrycans instead of keeping it in the fuel tanker, you can refuel several aircraft and the same time. thats way faster than driving with the fuel tanker to every single plane.

One thing I'd definitely want to know about the 30mm MK-108 anti-bomber cannon in the Fw-190: was it installed in a gondola under the outer wing, like the 30mm MK-103 ground-attack cannon, or was it installed entirely within the outer wing, much as the older 20mm cannon was? yep, its a MIG-3 (some mid production model i guess, see the air intakes to the sides of the engine).
