Not sure David can pull the thread ... he's not a moderator anymore and once posted and commented on, its up to a moderator (or site owner) to remove the thread.

America would have committed more of its resources to the Pacific. That's more than just aircraft carriers. That's Liberty Ships, B-17s, Troops and all sorts of equipments. Many of the Transports that carried the troops and material to Torch in Morth Africa. The B-17s that bombed Germany. The troop...

The pacific war would have been accelerated dramatically! So the historic dates would no longer apply to this new time frame! How so? The only siginificant reinforcement that was not sent to the Pacific that may be sent if there is no war in the Atlantic is the USS Wasp. One more carrier in the Pac...

If Hitler had not declared war, it is unlikely America could be dragged into the Eurpopean war until the tide began to turn in the Pacific. Historically, this would be after Midway. So push the timeline in the European war back by six months for the Western allies. No Torch until early 1943 - perhap...

The idea of GZ on an operational sortie with nothing but U-Boats to support her is ... well shocking. You just negated one of GZ's best assets, her speed.

One carrier, no matter how romantic you make the voyage, is not going to change the outcome of the war in the atlantic.

here is how they saved a lot, the americans and other countrys paid there soilders while the germans didnt, and when you have 3-4,000,000 men plus another 1,000,000 men doing other work well then you do the math on what that would save them each month. I got some bad news for you, the German army d...

ok i will accept that this is a major what IF topic and that there was verey little chance of sea-lion succeding in 1940 but i believe it would have had better chance if either hitler was not in charge or IF it was to be lunched in 1941, plenty of time to build up at least most of the necessary equ...

Been away from Feldgrau for a few months. I hope this thread is not a true indication of what's been going on here - this thread reads like something from stormfront - I thought this forum was above this crap.
