Re: Allied POW

Though many allied prisoners died after forced marches to the west and away from the advancing Russians, the majority survived the ordeal and returned to there native countries. Several thousand Allied POW's were released from German captivity only to then fall into Russian captivity, and consequent...

German ships sunk at Ostend Sept 8th 1940

Three British MTB's reported sinking/damaging two German ships in Ostend. One that was 'sunk' was reportedly a German ammunition ship, whilst the other a general cargo ship.

Does anyone have further deails of these German losses?

German Internees in France come 1940

Also that out off 18,000 Italians only 4,500 had been interned. What numbers (if any) are avai...

Re: 1940 Norwegian Campaign books

I have yet to read my copy of Haarr, but I can confirm Richards statement upon the OoB, and that the publication is well noted and well supported with B/W photgraphs throughout. I'm hoping that the Norwegian military aspects both in terms of strategy/tactics and logistics are given air to breath, an...

Re: Forum for US army questions

Most of the well known forums have sub sections on the Allied units/activities etc, but it doesn't surprise me that there isn't a specific forum as such. Given the vast amount of published and internet source material available on these areas, also where they exist they are quite detailed and focuse...
