Gebirgsjager General with tank destruction award
Can anyone tell me where, when and under what circumstances General Major Ernst Baade of the Gebirgsjagers won his tank destruction badge? It can be seen on pg. 42 of "German Mountain Troops" by Bruce Quarrie. It seems odd that a General would hold such an award. Were there any other Gener...

Of note, before the outbreak of hostilities, German advisirs were in China supporting Chiang Kai Sheks Nationalist government. Japs invade and the story changes. Also interesting fact the first U.S. troop to die in WWII was killed by a Russian in Finland in 1939. In 1939 the U.S. still supported Man...

Dima, There is an SKS-41, it was a prototype, and was never produced in any great quantities. Only a few, probably less than 10, were produced and experimented with. It was the forrunner of the SKS-45, except it chambered the 7.62X54R cartridge. It was an experimental rifle that used the action desi...

2CM Sprenggranat Patronen
What exactly was a 2cm Sprenggranat? I just picked up an ammo box/crate for 100 cartridges of 2cm Sprenggranat at the local flea market. It was high explosive armor piercing ammo right? My box has faded Luftwaffe markings on it, was this fighter ammo or something used by Luftwaffe AA or Flak crews?

Schultz, Thanks for the update. I contacted an FFL holder here in Colorado, and he was hesitant to tell me anything. He told me to contact the Colorado BATF office and ask them. SO I've decided to look elsewhere. I don't have the time or energy to get that involved in legal red tape trying to buy a ...
